Home inspection is extremely vital when selling your house. Having your home inspected just before it's been listed on the market, referred to as a pre-listing home inspection (often covered by the seller), can help expedite the sale because problems can be handled before closing.

There are a few ways homeowners can assist their inspections move more easily. For beginners, says John Fryer, who owns Fryer Consulting, a property inspection company in Oakland, Calif., disclose your home's issues. “Whatever is wrong with your house will be found out anyway,” he said. “If you disclose [problems] in advance and provide potential buyers with an inspector's report, it can go a long way to diffuse anxiety and help the transaction go through.”
